Highlights Of The MDPI
"Assessing mathematics is more than marking a problem right or wrong."
"How did she get that?"
Looking at the thinking process behind the solution.
"Taking a neuropsychological perspective to better understand a student's learning of mathematics."
Math Diagnostics (MD) was formed to offer unique resources to educators who are responsible for students with special learning needs in mathematics. These tools allow concerned professionals to advance their understanding of mathematics assessment, diagnosis and intervention.

MD's initial efforts have been directed toward providing a unique tool, the Mathematics Diagnostic/Prescriptive Inventory (MDPI).

MDPI is a neuropsychologically based evaluation of a student's skills and approaches in mathematics. Its output leads to the generation of a personalized Mathematics Learning Profile that can be used as a basis for planning the student's intervention plan. Efforts are underway to compile a Prescriptions Handbook. This work will extend the use of the findings of the MDPI to the development of a individually tailored instructional approaches for the student.
